Flooded Basement in Sauganash Neighborhood

Whenever you walk into an inspection and think that you have seen it all there is always that one job that will slap you back into realty.  This basement was actually flooded from the kitchen above.  The storm that pushed the sewage from the city lines back into this home and the first available drain was the drain in the kitchen sink.  The dirty water filled up the sink and overflowed to the floors and the basement below.  There was a little confusion on the insurance side if this was going to be a covered claim or not.  It even made it harder since it was at the beginning of COVID-19 and the adjuster was not coming out to see the damage.  At the end we had to remove the affected kitchen cabinets and flooring, clean all areas up and treat it with an anti-microbial.
